Remi is an AI-powered personal reminder assistant. You tell it what to remember — by typing, speaking, or showing documents via camera — and it alerts you at the right time. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how it is processed, who it is shared with, and what control you have over it.
What We Collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and verified phone number (if you opt-in for automated reminder phone calls).
- Your reminders — the title, time, and recurrence rules of each scheduled reminder.
- Assistant conversations — messages exchanged with the assistant, including text transcripts of voice interactions.
- Preferences — language, assistant personality/avatar, theme, and notification preferences.
- Device push token — essential to dispatch notifications reliably to your phone.
- Usage records — assistant messages, voice minutes, and call credit consumption to enforce fair plan allowances.
We do not collect contacts without permission, browsing history, device photo galleries, or keystrokes from other applications.
Remi Vision 360° & Camera Usage
When you initiate an AI Video Call or use Remi to scan prescriptions, documents, or physical objects, your camera streams real-time video frames (1–2 FPS) over encrypted TLS channels to Remi's visual intelligence engine.
Video frames are processed transiently in memory and are never permanently stored on our servers. Frames are never shared with advertisers, sold to third parties, or used for training public foundation models. The camera is active strictly while the video interface is visibly open on your screen.
Voice and Microphone Privacy
The microphone is active only while the live voice interface or an active reminder call is open. It is never active in the background.
During voice conversations, audio streams directly from your device to our secure neural speech infrastructure to understand intent and generate natural spoken replies. We do not store raw audio recordings. A written transcript is saved to your account history so the assistant retains context and you can review past conversations.
Neural AI Processing & Zero Data Selling
To understand natural language and extract dates and times, your message prompt and recent conversational context are processed through secure neural AI infrastructure. Your passwords, payment card details, and personal contacts are never transmitted to AI models. We never sell your personal data or user prompts.
Outbound Calls & Trusted Contacts
Remi offers real outbound phone calls for critical reminders. When you add a trusted contact, Remi shares an invitation link; no automated calls are ever made to a third party until they have explicitly consented by opening the link. Phone numbers are utilized solely for telecommunication dispatch and verification.
Who Your Data Is Shared With
Data sharing is strictly limited to verified infrastructure providers essential for operating the service:
- Secure AI Infrastructure — to understand natural language and synthesize speech.
- Google Firebase — to deliver high-priority push notifications.
- Google Play Billing — to process and verify subscription transactions. We never see or store your payment card numbers.
- Google AdMob — serves non-personalized ads to users on the free plan. Paid Pro/Premium subscribers see zero ads.
- Cloud Hosting Infrastructure — securely stores your encrypted account and reminder database.
Your Rights & India DPDP Act Compliance
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and global privacy frameworks, you have full control over your information. You may access, correct, export, or permanently erase your data at any time from within the app or via Delete Account.
Requesting account deletion triggers an immediate 14-day grace period during which you can cancel by signing in again. After 14 days, all associated account data, reminders, and transcripts are permanently erased from our production databases.
Security & Encryption
All traffic between the Remi mobile application and our servers is secured using modern TLS 1.3 encryption. Account passwords are salted and hashed. Sensitive session tokens are protected using hardware-backed secure storage on your mobile device.
Children's Privacy
Remi is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe an account has been created by a child under 13, please contact our grievance officer and we will promptly remove the account.
